Took me a good 20 minutes to find the solution as the search engines weren't particularly forthcoming with the answer to my woes, so here's my attempt to save future troubleshooters some of the troubles of troubleshooting. I installed Fedora 33 yesterday and wanted to use Nemo as my file manager, but it didn't show up in the activities overview! And when I manually launched it via the command line, it turns out I couldn't favourite it and pin it to my dock. Open the file and comment out or delete the line OnlyShowIn=X-Cinnamon from the section of it. Tl dr: Copy the Nemo desktop file from /usr/share/applications/sktop to ~/.local/share/applications/sktop (so it doesn't get changed on updates). ![]()
